Wellbeing Economics and the Future of Work Professor Dalziel will speak on the ideas behind “wellbeing economics”, particularly Amartya Sen’s famous expression that authentic development means increasing the capabilities of people to lead the kinds of lives they value and have reason to value. Paul will discuss these ideas in the context of Labour’s Future of Work Commission. Paul Dalziel is Professor of Economics at Lincoln University. His book Wellbeing Economics: Future Directions for New Zealand was published by Bridget Williams Books in 2014.
