Housing Auckland: Creating a safe, warm, economical and well-designed city - AKL

Registration is closed for this event

There is a Hikoi for Housing being planned for November. Real concern for the plight of the housing crisis facing Auckland continues to be heard, felt and seen (eg Rudman ) The issues are not being addressed while the crisis gets bigger and more damaging. The response from government and orthodoxy stays the same. The narrative has to change.

It is possible to imagine better social policy. There are values and principles on which we can build the much aspired ‘liveable city’ and Fabians are pleased to bring you a panel up for that debate. These speakers are well known. The issues and ideas they suggest in the room will be different. The last session we held on a similar vein was popular and produced unity and optimism that we can do better for the citizens of Auckland.

Featuring Phillipa Howden-Chapman (Otago University), Bernard Hickey (Hive News) and Mark Todd (Ockham Residential).

Please note this will be held at a different venue than our usual events
