Wellington Public Transport - Fossil-fuel Free?

Registration is closed for this event
Should Wellington emulate Oslo’s goal of fossil free public transport by 2020? Well over 50% of Wellington region's public transport is powered by electricity, 80% of that produced with renewable fuels. Wellington city also has 60 zero emission trolley buses. Cr Paul Bruce and Victor Komarovsky will look at decisions being made by the Regional Council and argue that renewal of our present trolleys is a cost effective strategy, alongside developing modern light rail along the high capacity route through Newtown to the Airport.
