Elizabeth Rata is associate professor in the School of Critical Studies in Education, Faculty of Education at the University of Auckland. She has published and presented internationally on the fundamental changes caused by globalisation to the socio-political organisation of democratic nation states. Her most recent book is The Politics of Knowledge in Education, published by Routledge.
