Wellington and the new occupants of the Beehive - how does a progressive city deal with a conservative government?

Registration is closed for this event

Julie Ann Genter, Dave Armstrong and Ian Cassels will discuss relationships between Wellington and the new government.

The session will be chaired by Max Rashbrooke.

They will look at how the various political  differences might get worked out as critical decisions come up for the city and the region.  What are some of these key decisions, and who should decide what happens for Wellington - a city with two newly elected Green MPs, a Green Mayor, and progressive councils. All this but set against a new national government that is well over on the conservative side and has its own agenda for the city.

Green MP Julie Anne Genter is MP for Rongotai and former associate minister for transport and health and minister for women.  Dave Armstrong is a regular commentator for The Post and a playwright.  Ian Cassels is our highest profile property developer – red Joel MacManus’ excellent profile here.

Please register if you are coming in person.
